I've been meaning to write this for a while, but life with a newborn is as demanding as everyone had warned me about. Baby Alex constantly needs me so it's hard to find time to do things that I used to take for granted: replying to emails, cooking (even making a tea), showering, getting out of the house etc. It's been two interesting weeks, lots of adjustment and figuring out but things are going very well. Alex is a good baby, has his screaming moments but it would worry me more if he didn't have them. First week didn't get too much sleep, but now he's getting better and sleeps for longer hours through the night.
This entry though is about naming the winner of our baby pool game on line. We looked at the guesses our family and friends took and it looks like my podrushka from California, Nadya was the closest to estimate the correct date. She predicted February 22nd, 10 am (it was 5.30 am), 7 lbs 3 oz (how about 9 lbs 9.05 oz??) and 21 inches (dead on!). Congrats Nadya, I will be mailing a little gift to you soon!
